Digital Services (DSA)

Draft — being reviewed by our lawyers. Last updated 16/10/2026.

Information required by Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the "Digital Services Act"), implemented in Portugal by Law 12-A/2026. The Pratoroo Platform is a hosting service and online marketplace run by GINGER DIALOGUE - UNIPESSOAL LDA (tax no. 519653955).

Points of contact

  • For Member State authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (article 11): [email protected], subject "DSA – Authority".
  • For users (article 12): [email protected], subject "DSA", or Help on the Platform. We answer electronically, quickly and not solely by automated means.
  • Languages: Portuguese and English.
  • Legal representative: GINGER DIALOGUE - UNIPESSOAL LDA is established in the European Union, so it does not need a legal representative.

Reporting illegal content (article 16)

If you find content on the Platform that you consider illegal (for example a prohibited product, misleading allergen information, a photo infringing copyright, a defamatory review or personal data published without permission), send a report to [email protected], subject "DSA report", with:

  1. a substantiated explanation of why you consider the content illegal;
  2. its exact location (page address, business and product name or the review);
  3. your name and email (except reports of offences against children, which may be anonymous);
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the information given is accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt, examine the report diligently, objectively and non-arbitrarily, and inform you of the decision and the available remedies. If a report reveals a suspected offence threatening people's life or safety, we inform the authorities immediately (article 18).

How we moderate content

  • Businesses are responsible for their menus, photos, prices and allergen information; customers for their reviews. We review businesses' logos, covers and photos before they are published, and check businesses' and couriers' documents before approval.
  • We use automatic signals to detect fake reviews and fraud; suspicious reviews are held until a person reviews them. Decisions to remove content, suspend or close accounts are taken by people on our team.
  • The restrictions we may apply are described in the Terms of Use (sections 14 and 15) and in Fraud prevention.

Statement of reasons and appeal (articles 17 and 20)

When we remove or restrict content or an account, we send the affected user a statement of reasons: what was decided and its scope, the facts, whether automated means were used, the legal or contractual ground and the remedies available. You can challenge it within 6 months through Help or at [email protected]; the case is reviewed by a person who did not take the original decision. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body (article 21) or to the courts.

Recommender systems and advertising (articles 26 and 27)

The order in which businesses appear is explained in the Terms of Use (section 12): open first, then nearest; you can change the order and use filters. We do not show advertising based on profiling, nor advertising aimed at minors (article 28). No business pays to appear higher; if paid placements are introduced in the future, they will be labelled "Sponsored", stating who paid.

Traceability of traders (article 30)

Before approving a business, we collect and check its name, address, contact details, company or tax number, commercial registration and the identity document of the person responsible. The seller's identity is shown on each business page. If we learn that an illegal product was sold on the Platform, we inform the affected buyers (article 32).

Supervision

The Digital Services Coordinator in Portugal is ANACOM (www.anacom.pt), with whom you can lodge a complaint (article 53).
